Kenya: Police Dismiss Fears Of Looming Terror Attack In Kenya Following Alert By Western Embassies

Police spokesman Bruno Shioso has allayed fears of a looming terror attack.
Speaking to Citizen Digital on Friday, Shioso said the National Police Service (NPS) is yet to officially receive reports from any foreign governments, pertaining to a possible terror attack in the country this weekend.
Shioso however assured Kenyans of their safety citing that security has been heightened in Nairobi and other metropolitan areas in the country.
His sentiments follow a Thursday warning issued by the French and German governments in which the two states warned its citizens, currently residing in Kenya, of a possible terror attack in Nairobi targeting places frequented by foreigners.
The German embassy also urged its citizens in Kenya to stay alert when out in public and to avoid crowded places.
This includes hotels, restaurants, leisure spots and commercial centers in the Capital.
