Rwanda: President Kagame Appoints Colonel Jean Paul Nyirubutama New Head of External Intelligence and Security, Replacing Lynder Nkuranga Who Now Becomes Immigration and Emigration DG

Rwandan President Paul Kagame has appointed Colonel Jean Paul Nyirubutama as Director General of External Intelligence and Security. Prior to the appointment, Col Nyirubutama was Deputy Secretary General of the National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS).

The former Deputy CEO and COO of national carrier, RwandAir, promotion follows demotion of his predecessor Lynder Nkuranga, who in August last year became the first female spy chief, to Director General of Immigration and Emigration.
